Chef Ben is bringing his love of Gourmet Italian food to the SLO Public Market. Torricella Pizzeria will be in SLO Public Market’s Market Hall. Chef Ben’s love for food flourished in his family’s hometown of Corigliano, Calabria in the south of Italy. Their neighborhood, Torricella, has many gatherings and celebrations all centered around food, emphasizing its origin, how it is made, and the tradition behind it. Since then, Ben has set out on a journey to care as much about food as his family in Torricella.

After studying at Apicius Culinary School in Florence, Italy, and working in various high-end restaurants in Italy and Germany, Chef Ben opened Torricella (pronounced tor-ee-chella) Catering. Since opening in 2017, his dream has always been to open a storefront. Ben has joined together with longtime friend and now partner, Mason Bacot who has been working in the restaurant industry for over 10 years. His experience ranges from locally renowned to Michelin Star restaurants. They have aligned their interests to bring us Torricella Pizzeria.

“Torricella was born to show that passion for Italian Pizza, Pasta, and all Italian-inspired cuisine to the people on the Central Coast. Every dish is an expression of the generosity and care that the Italian family taught me,” Chef Ben Harrison.

Torricella Pizzeria has a menu that will make your mouth water, emphasizing fresh, simple, and traditional ingredients. From wood-fired Napolitano pizzas to traditional pasta and gourmet Italian salads, their menu is a love letter to Torricella.
