MARKET & DELI
For almost 100 years, High Street Market and Deli has been serving the city of San Luis Obispo. Built in 1927, High Street carried everything from milk, butter, chewing tobacco and fishing gear. Doobie, who has owned High Street for nearly 20 years, has turned the 100-year-old corner store into one of SLO county’s best sandwich joints. When considering expansion, he wanted to find another location with the same vintage charm and chose another historical SLO landmark: the original Bonetti Ranch House on the SLO Public Market campus.
The SLO Public Market location hosts a new menu showcasing some of the old and some of the new. A handful of sandwiches from their first location are available, as well as some new items, such as artisan breads, house roasted meats, more homemade sauces and the same unrivaled customer service. Enjoy all of Doobie's homemade creations in the historic farmhouse or on High Street's private outdoor patio.
High Street Deli’s “Munchie Mobile”, a converted 1950’s step van, is also available for catering. “The Munchie Mobile will be a fun addition to local events and parties, not only because we'll be serving bomb food, but it also looks amazing," says Doobie.
